A Good Life Live

I got a message from my father early this morning that his mother, my grandmother passed away. Vita Huster died at the age of 99. I am not sure when the funeral will be, but most likely it will be sometime during our move to San Diego. This blog is in some way a part of my healing as a walk in the pain of losing someone so special.

My grandfather and grandmother Huster played a significant roll in my life. They only lived two miles from where I grew up. Living with my single mother and two sisters, I spent many days after school and summer days with them. The memory I will hang on most to is my grandmother reading her Bible and "Daily Bread" to me and my grandfather at breakfast. She modeled the great habit any person anyone could ever develop. I love you grandmother, give granddad a big hug for me!

Jimmy,
I know that this day is a difficult one for you. You have been such a wonderful husband, father, and grandson. Thank you for loving us all with an unconditional love and providing strength and hope when we have lacked faith. Grandmother Huster was so proud of you and loved you so much. As we make our journey west, it will be God's Word that Grandmother read aloud to you that will continue to carry our family to a new place where He wants His Word to reach those who have never heard it. I love you.
Your loving wife,
Michelle

Hi Jim,
I am Malia Walker from Freedom Church...and just wanted you to know that we are all praying for you and also that Michelle will be feeling better soon...ALSO, I wanted to share with you a bit of exciting news...whenever you told us to be sure to tell anyone who had friends or family in the San Diego area that you were coming, I immediately thought of my newsgroup buddy, who lives in San Diego, Her name is Catherine (she goes by Cat in the newsgroup) and she is a wonderful lady...I have just shared with her about you & Michelle's ministry and trip to the city and she is VERY excited! It just so happens, that she has been looking for a church to go to for a while and she is looking forward to visiting Harbor to find out what you all are about! And she will bring her daughter & grandkids! I would like to tell her which church location you will be at while training, so she can come & visit, but I could not remember, perhaps you could post that on your blog? So be prepared to meet a new friend when you guys arrive...!! And GOD BLESS you & your family, I am excited for you all! In Prayer, Malia

Oh Jim, We were SO sorry to hear about your grandmother passing, and that you would be travellig and not be able to attend her funeral, but you know you are where the Lord has placed you, and we will pray for your whole family during this time, especially...
In Christ Love,
Malia

Jim,
I am so sorry about your grandmother. I've heard so many times how much you loved her (and your grandfather). We rejoice with you that she is in heaven with the Lord and is reunited with her husband. God's timing is perfect---remember that as you drive west.
